Alaluomileikkaukselle on olemassa veitsetön vaihtoehto, jolla saadaan erinomaisia tuloksia, kun alaluomien kudosylimäärä on vielä maltillista. Fotona-laserhoitojen uusin sovellus on nimeltään Smile Eye Lift™. Toimenpide on kehitetty pussittavan silmänalusihon kiristämiseen, kutistamiseen ja kiinteyttämiseen. Smile Eye Lift (SEL) on sarjahoito, joka tehdään noin kahden viikon välein kolme, neljä tai viisi kertaa. Hoidossa silmänalusihoa käsitellään alaluomen sisäosan kautta sen jälkeen, kun silmä on peitetty metallisella suojuksella.

Tuloksia saavutetaan keskimäärin kolmen Smile Eye Lift -toimenpiteen hoitosarjalla. Joissakin tapauksissa hoitoja tarvitaan enemmän. Mikäli ylimääräistä ihoa, rasvaa ja lihasta on runsaasti, suosittelemme potilaalle perinteistä, kirurginveitsellä tehtävää alaluomileikkausta.
Hoidosta toipuminen on nopeaa. Joskus hoitoalueella huomataan toimenpiteen jälkeen turvotusta. Nesteen kertymistä voidaan ehkäistä ja hoitaa lymfaterapialla.
